WEEK 10!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great Easter celebrating my friend, Jesus', greatest gift to us all! This week is not too crazy a week for me, but Mommy is starting to notice that her old jeans are not as comfy as they were a few weeks ago. Her body is also pumping lots and lots of blood to help nourish me in this growing phase. She is getting really hot these Texas Spring Days. Mommy told Daddy "no more" keeping that AC off, she gets too hot at night and can't sleep!
I am over one inch from booty to head (the size of a prune) this week and count on that doubling in the next few weeks! I'm about to start growing so fast Mommy won't know what's happening to her belly!
Take a look:

This week I am starting to form bones and cartilage, which means I'm starting to get some arm function thanks to the arm joints that are now in place; my leg function will be coming just as soon as my leg joints form. My vital organs are starting to function this week, too!
Only two more weeks until Mommy's OB appointment and the big leap into the second trimester! She and Daddy are so excited to both be there to see me this time. Hopefully they will get to hear my heart beating!
Mommy and Daddy went to eat a Good Friday dinner at Randy White's with the Bellue's (I'm pretty sure I love these awesome people, they are really funny!). Erin and Aunt Judy decided that I am going to be a girl and they will call me Mary Mashay even if that's not what Mommy and Daddy name me! Silly girls!
Mommy surprised me this week, too! She told me I have a big brother named Jr. He sleeps next to Mommy and Daddy and makes sure no booger bears get into the house! I can't wait to meet him.
My Big Brother, Jr.:
See you next week!!

Olive Juice!

Say "Olive Juice" really fast 3 times! Sounds like "I Love You!" because I do! Welcome to week 9 of my life, everyone!! This week I am about the size of an olive.
Take a look:

This week I am officially what the biologists call a fetus (but Mommy and Daddy know I have been a baby from day one--Jeremiah 1:5!). My heart is loud enough now that at Mommy's next Dr. appointment she and Daddy will probably be able to hear my heart beat! Mommy tears up just thinking about it because she thinks God is *SO* amazing to bless them with my life ("Olive Juice" Mommy and Daddy!). My arms and legs are still moving around (but Mommy still can't feel it yet) and my facial features are getting more pronounced everyday!
Do you think I will have Mommy's nose and Daddy's big brown eyes?
Or do you think I will have Mommy's pretty green eyes and Daddy's blonde hair?
We won't know until I make my big debut into the world, but I know Mommy and Daddy are super excited to see me no matter what!!
People are taking bets on whether I am going to be a Little Mr or a Miss Priss and all I will tell you is that you have to wait! Tee-hee. My hoo-haa or lack-there-of (yee-haw for future reference) won't be visible for a couple more months. Mommy and Daddy did decide, though, that they will find out so they can get ready for lots of BLUES & GREENS or TURQUOISE & PURPLE -- no pink please, pink is a little overrated for little girls :-D
**Make your bets in the comments, it will be fun to see who is right and who might get it right next time!!
If I am a girl, Mommy and Daddy will have to agree on a name because they can't seem to agree on one, yet! But, because they have turned to Jeremiah 29:11 for almost every circumstance since they met, if I am a boy my name will be Matthew Jeremiah (Jeremy) Turnell.
See you next week!!!
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Welcome to Week Eight!

Welcome to week eight! Last week was so special for Mommy and Daddy and everyone else because I was introduced to the world and had my first photos taken! This week I am about the size of a raspberry and growing about one millimeter a day!
Here's a picture:

I am also starting to straighten out, looking more and more like the baby Mommy and Daddy are imagining. Mommy can't tell, yet, but I am moving my little arms, legs, fingers, and toes, already. Mommy seems to be feeling better this week (I think it's because she saw my little heart fluttering and has my first picture to look at)...
Take a look:
Daddy seems to be more excited now that he has actually seen a picture of me. Daddy is so funny, too. Mommy showed him the picture and he asked where my "hoo-haa" was. Silly daddy! Only me and God know if I am a boy or a girl and I'm not telling... you'll have to wait until Mommy and Daddy find out from the doctor in a few months!!
See you next week!!

Growing...Growing!

Hello everyone! Welcome to week seven of my life, I hope you are enjoying keeping up with me. This week, were going to be getting into some grey matter: my brain! But first...
Here's a picture:

This week, you can call me "Smarty No-Pants." Why you ask? Well, my brain (both sides) is growing so fast, about 100 new cells every minute and I'm not wearing any pants!
I am feeling Daddy's genes giving me some math and mechanical skills (my arms and legs are growing so I can help him find his tools when we work on my car one day) and I'm feeling Mommy's genes giving me some literacy and creative skills (so I can read to my big brother Jr. and make lots of awesome art for her to put up in the house). I am also excited to say that these little bean things called kidneys are permanently in place, I'll be able to urinate soon... which is pretty amazing considering I'm only the size of a blueberry!
Speaking of the potty... Mommy is making lots of trips there these days. Give her some slack though, I am sitting right on top of her bladder and she is feeling more sickly the past few days (she is told, has read, and hopes that the sickness will pass in a couple of months-- the second trimester).
Mommy had an appointment on Friday with the baby doctor (the OB) and because Daddy has been working so hard, "Grandma" (I haven't really decided her real name yet) went with Mommy so she wouldn't be alone for this awesome event.
The doctor declared that my arrival date is November 24, 2011 (Thanksgiving week... which by the way is one day before Daddy's birthday... da-dun-daaaaa "Happy Birthday, forever, Daddy!") and that I am about one centimeter from my booty to my head. Mommy got to see my little "heart" flutter today and I got my very FIRST photograph taken (one of many that she will be taking, I am sure).
Take a look:

My booty is where the "X" is and my head is where the smaller "x" is on the right side. Mommy is *SO* excited, I felt her heart and tummy do flips when she saw me. I can't wait for Daddy to see me at the next appointment in about 4 weeks. But, he LOVED the picture Mommy showed him.

See you next week!
