Hope everyone had a great week! Happy Father's day to all the Daddies out there! Daddy bought himself a saw for Father's Day, that thing is LOUD and Grandma Cici and Grandpa RB got him his very own drill (so he doesn't have to "borrow" RB's anymore)! Since Daddy hung out with Grandpa Jim last weekend, we went over to RB and Cici's to hang out by the pool, eat brisket, and enjoy a relaxing day with Uncle D, (Great) Grandma, (Great)Granddad, Cici, RB, and the dogs (Rocky, PJ, and Sadie... Jr was there too but away from all the fun, poor guy).
Last week Mommy noticed what she thought was a bite mark on her finger, then she noticed it was on both of the fingers she wears her rings on. Mommy looked into it and it seems that since her body is going crazy being pregnant, her sensitivity to metals is a lot higher than it used to be--plus it's super hot out (she could never have earrings because she was allergic to the sterling silver and gold). So, for now, Mommy will have to go without her pretty rings. Luckily she and Daddy don't have to worry about rings so much though cause they both have ring tattoos to commemorate their forever love in marriage (I bet that tattoo hurt!).
Saturday, Mommy's friend, Jennah had her baby, his name is Jonah. He is a month early, but he and his mommy are doing well. I bet we will be friends one day. Congrats Jennah and Jose!
This week I have grown into the size of a sweet potato, you could hold me in your hand and I may be a little bigger than your hand. I am about half a foot in my booty to head measurements and almost half a pound.

My house (Mommy's uterus) is growing a lot (it's now about the size of a cantaloupe), moving her center of gravity... which makes her feel like she's walking kind of like a little fat duck. Don't worry Mom, soon everyone else will be able to notice it, too, but they'll know it's not "fat" and that you aren't a duck!
Here's a picture of Mommy's baby belly (just a little pooch so far):
Mommy is taking precautions to keep her skin pretty by slathering some lotion on her belly whenever she can. Daddy really likes to help out with this, too! He sometimes has to do the "Daddy Dance" to earn belly lotioning rights, though! Mommy and Daddy laugh a lot when he does the "Daddy Dance". I can't wait to see it.

Mommy is feeling some back pain, but it's not too bad, just noticeable (those ligaments are loosening to make room for ME. Sorry Mom). The one thing she has felt for a few months now is my house (her uterus) pulling the tendons that keep it in place (round ligament pain). Mommy says it really hurts when she lays down or moves or turns a certain way, so she's been really careful not to move too fast or in a way that hurts. The Dr says it's normal "growing pains" of Mommies-To-Be.
The books say this is the first week that Mommies and Daddies have the chance to see their baby's gender, so my Mommy and Daddy's luck is getting better these days. They hope they can find out at the 3D Sonogram this week and if not then, they have another chance at the regular Dr's appointment in a couple more weeks.
I am moving around like crazy these days, I hear exercise is good for you. I have been practicing hiccuping, yawning, and continue to practice sucking and swallowing. This is the week the books say Mommy should start to feel me move. I'm ahead of the curve on that one, though, because she already felt me move last week... now she's going crazy waiting for the next little bump and flutter (Don't worry Mommy... soon you'll be telling me to calm down and go to sleep!). She feels me move, usually at night or in the middle of the day when she takes a minute to rest or is laying in bed doing her schoolwork. It must feel pretty surreal to feel a little baby moving around... she gets so excited and Daddy can't wait until he can feel it!
My nervous system is getting more and more advanced these days. My senses of touch, sight, smell, taste, and hearing are developing. I can hear what's going on out in the world and I'm so curious to know what all of these noises are. I heard this really loud growling and grumbling noise that Mommy tells Daddy I don't like (I think she called it a motorcycle) and I definitely can hear my big brother, Jr's, voice because it's always followed with "Jr., No!" I hope I have a cooler middle name than No. I've also been listening to some country music and cabaret music and oldies rock, all are fun to dance to in here! Mommy has been listening to some samples of the Rockaby Baby CDs on iTunes... piano versions of U2, Pink Floyd, ACDC, The Beatles, No Doubt, and others. I think she's going to make me a lullabye playlist she, Daddy, and me can all enjoy. I can hear Mommy's voice and Daddy's voice, too and I can't wait to meet them--only two weeks away from half time! Mommy can't believe I'm only a few months away from being in her arms!
See you next week!!
