Sweet 16

Hello everyone! Hope you had a great week. Happy birthday to Cici last week!! We had a great time at the car show with Grams, Shark, RB, Uncle D, and Uncle Shane for Cici's birthday.

Uncle D got his baby back... his Camaro IROC got totaled in the hail storm a couple of months back, so Cici and RB surprised him with his car to take to the car show (he's already won a couple of trophies with her).

Sunday, Mommy and Daddy (and ME) went to the Rough Riders ball park with Daddy's work. They had face paintings, a pool, food (Daddy liked that part), and other fun things. Can't wait 'till I can go to my first ball game with Daddy! He played in the game with some of his co-workers and was exhausted afterwards. I heard Mommy tell him, "You're getting old Daddy-to-be, better get your game up before baby gets here cause you're gonna be RUNNING if he/she is anything like you!"
This week I am about the size of an avocado! Mommy said that avocados were her FAVORITE thing to eat when she was little and she still loves avocados (especially the Guacamole Live! at On the Border)... I have to say they are pretty tasty! Can't wait to try them for real!
Take a look:

This week the little bones in my ears are forming, so I can hear voices, especially Mommy's. I can hear Daddy's, too, so I hope he starts playing the guitar for me, soon! Jr is a very loud puppy, I don't know if I'm going to like him barking when I'm trying to sleep, but I'm sure we siblings will figure it out.

My eyebrows, lashes, and hair are filling in, but I won't tell you what color it is! You'll have to wait. My taste buds are forming, so I can taste the food Mommy has been eating... I don't know what all of this spicy stuff is, I hear it's Mexican food... but I kinda like it, so I've been telling Mommy to eat more of it! I also really like oranges, so I've been sending her requests for those, too!
My back and neck muscles getting stronger, which means I'm straightening out more and more everyday. My muscles in my face are getting stronger, too, so when Jr barks or I don't like the way Mommy just moved, I can make faces to show my disapproval. My little eyes can pick up light and move now, but my eyelids are still shut.
Last Friday, Mommy and Daddy saw the Dr to make sure I'm doing well. They set the 3D sono 3 weeks from now, so the Dr can make sure my heart chambers are forming correctly and I don't have any unexpected surprises they need to be prepared for. Mommy and Daddy are nervous, but so excited to know how I'm doing and to find out if I'm a little boy or girl. The Dr at this last appointment couldn't tell if I am a boy or girl because I was all curled up nice and cozy so my feet were in the way! Daddy was really hoping he would see a little hoo-haa, but no such luck! Sorry Dad! The Dr also listened to my heart rate, it was 164... if you are a fan of old wives tales, anything above 140 means I'm a girl, but well see in  a few weeks!! I got another photo taken of me, this one looks a lot better than the last. Mommy and Daddy loved seeing my cute little face...
All Curled Up!
Look at that adorable little nose!
I can tell Mommy is getting anxious and the nesting impulses are hitting her strong these days, so once they figure out my sex, she can start planning my bedding (JoAnn's here we come!) and Daddy can start painting all the furniture (Home Depot is his haven). Thanks, again, to Nanny and Cici for the furniture, Mommy and Daddy can save so much money to throw into my savings for college now! I think Mommy and Daddy decided that if I am a boy, they are going to decorate my room in cowboy stuff so I can grow with my room (cowboys are never outta style). But if I am a girl, Mommy has been on her own because Daddy really wants a boy and is no help in preparing for a girl. Daddy may not know yet, but Mommy knows that if I am a girl, the moment Daddy sees me, he will be head over heels in love with me (and will bring out his M4 for the mantel)!  If I am a girl, Mommy has fallen in love the with Lilly Pulitzer Flamingo theme. She really doesn't like pink, but the flamingos were just too cute to pass up, plus, I think some flamingos are coral colored, rather than pink, anyway! :-D

The gender war is split, some thinking I'm a boy and some thinking I'm a girl! With everyone SO excited to find out, I think Mommy is going to try to plan something fun for 4th of July weekend to reveal hoo-haa or yee-haw-ness after they find out! Be on the lookout for pictures of that fun event!
See you next week!!!
