Thank Heaven... It's the End of Month 7!

Hello everyone! I hope you had a great week last week! This week marks the end of my seventh month in Mommy's belly. Only two more months to go... or eight weeks (for some reason eight weeks sounds shorter than two months, why is that?), and it will go by fast!

My big brothers, Jr and Hank, have been working on their sibling skills. They weren't too sure about each other when Hank first arrived, but now all they do is cuddle and play and play and cuddle. Their favorite game is "tug 'o war" (though it turns into Jr dragging Hank around the house).

What's going on with Mommy?

Mommy's body is doing lots of miraculous things this week, some things she finds amazing, others she wouldn't call "amazing" but they are no less part of God's miraculous plan for making babies and getting Mommies ready for Mommy-hood. Through all of the pains of childbearing and childbirth... Mommy definitely thinks women are God's favorite since he lets them have this incredible experience. I will tell you more about the other effects of all of those hormones running through Mommy's body, but some of those hormones are making her want to do nothing other than hold me and cuddle with me.

Mommy can feel those BH contractions (practice contractions), which are her body's way of practicing and prepping for the big day, though Cici said BH contractions "ain't nothin'!" Thanks for the reassuring words Cici (just kidding)!

Mommy is getting bigger and bigger (each day it seems) which is making her exhausted and using up a lot of her energy (keep your head up, Mommy... you'll see the fruits of all of your symptoms *so* soon!). The combination of exhaustion and hormones is making Mommy feel sort of crazy these days. Last week, Mommy was at the store and she heard a baby crying and she literally almost started crying, too. Luckily she caught herself, put those hormones in check, and started to laugh instead.

Mommy has a Dr appointment later this week, so I will update you on what the Dr says about Mommy and me next week, which, by the way, starts the eighth month (weeks 33-36)! Any guesses on what fruit/veggie I will be next?? I'll give you a hint... it's a fruit that's bigger than a squash but smaller than a watermelon.

Daddy has been gone for his military training for the past three weeks and Mommy has really missed having him around. We are excited that he is finally home for the start of the last two months! Mommy has a really special "Date Day" planned for Friday. Get your Mommy and Daddy time in, now...'cause in two months that will be a thing of the past (Love you!)!

What's going on with me?

This week I am probably getting close to being 4 pounds and I am about 19 inches long, but I will have a more accurate number after the Dr does her measurements this week.

I am practicing my swallowing, breathing, sucking, and kicking skills.

My skin is becoming more opaque due to those Princess Deposits (aka.. fat deposits) and muscle tissue. My face is getting rounder and cuter with those Princess Deposits, too. The muscle tissue that has formed and my brain connections are helping me make silly faces, I can even stick out my tongue!

I may or may not have a full head of hair by now, only God knows. My finger nails and toe nails have grown in so Mommy and I can paint our fingers and toes to match one day!

My head was down last week, ready for my big day, Mommy and the Dr will see if I stayed that way or not later this week. Mommy and Daddy have been praying for me to do what I'm supposed to so Mommy's body can do what God made it to do.

I have been moving quite often and with more "uumph" since I am gaining more weight and things are getting a little cramped in my house these days. Sometimes I accidentally elbow Mommy's side (I know it doesn't feel good cause Mommy says "ouch!")... I don't mean to, but space is really sparse! Mommy doesn't mind me moving around so much (without the elbowing) because she can feel and see my cute little booty push against her belly, which always makes her smile.

I'm getting so excited to meet everyone! I'll be here sooner than you can find a spoon for Spoon Pie!

See you all next week!
