Mommy and Daddy went out last weekend to find some ribbon and while they were out, Daddy picked out some camo-colored tulle for another tutu... a camo tutu!! Mommy can't wait to get started on my second tutu. I'm going to be Daddy's little camo girl come November.
Mommy and Cici started their Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed Bible Study two weeks ago. Mommy told me to get prepared because this week and next week will be Beth Moore's sessions and she is a spitfire! The last two weeks we've been listening to Priscilla Shirer, she's still a Texas girl, but not as energetic as Miss Beth! I have a feeling that I will be hearing lots from these women throughout my life, but for now Mommy and I are enjoying learning about David and Mommy is learning a lot about herself.
Last week Mommy felt me move a lot. She thinks I'm starting to get hiccups because I jumped and punched and kicked so hard the other day Mommy thinks Daddy could have felt it (sorry Mom, but I think this is just the start to more powerful kicks)... then I did it again a few days later. I give her breaks though were she still just feels my flutters, rather than "attacks" throughout the day, usually after a meal or snack. The Dr said that others will probably be able to feel my kicks in about two months, maybe sooner if they're lucky, and they may be since I am super active.
Mommy has a lot of energy these days, though the Dr prescribed her to stay inside and drink lots of Gatorade and water because it's toooooo hot in this Texas weather. Getting dehydrated can bring on pre-term labor, which no one wants! So Mommy will be staying in, eating lots of snacks and drinking lots of fluids. Plus, she needs to take it easy because her placenta is really close to the cervix, so until the next appointment when the Dr can check if it's moved away any, no running or strenuous activity for Mommy. If the placenta doesn't move, the Dr said Mommy would not be able to give the semi-natural delivery she prefers for me. Mommy was pretty bummed to hear that, but she and Daddy pray about it all the time and I think my Friend Upstairs has reassured her... as long as I am healthy and safe in her arms, it doesn't really matter how I get here (plus, if she does have to have a C-section delivery I will be even prettier for my newborn pictures! No cone-head...)
Mommy has been on the lookout for Ladybugs to decorate my nursery. I bet all those little ladybugs are going to be so cute! I can't wait to see! Daddy's cousin, Erin, got me lots of toys (all for my cognitive development... I'm going to be one smart baby). Mommy and Daddy opened them last week and my big brother, Jr., wanted to play with all my toys. I think Mommy is starting to realize that she is going to have to lock up my toys so they don't get eaten! Daddy had a good idea to keep Jr occupied though... as they were opening the toys, Jr got all the wrappings to shred (Mommy loved picking up all the pieces... but better to pick up paper than shredded toys)! I think Jr and Daddy have a pact to drive Mommy crazy at least once a day... check out their "bonding time" below!
They also opened the clothes I got from Cici and my cute Texas Ranger bootie shoes from Grams and Shark! Mommy put the little socks and onsies on Daddy's shoulder to show him how little I'm going to be... Daddy is going to be so smitten! He couldn't believe my feet are going to fit into those socks. What can I say, perfection comes in tiny packages! I can't wait to meet him and bat my eyelashes at him! The other day, the three of us were walking through Walmart and Mommy found the cutest pink and white softball mitt and showed Daddy, then Daddy started grabbing all the pink bats to see which one would be best! He is going to be the best Daddy ever! I also got my first A&M shirt from Grandma/Grandpa Turnell. Gig 'em Aggies! Mommy found a website that makes and sells crotched baby things and then she just had to see what Nordy's had! Baby Sperry's -- too cute!!!

This week I am the size of a banana... hitting just under one foot and about three ounces away from one pound-- and Mommy is feeling it. Her tummy is getting bigger and firmer, meaning my house (her uterus) is growing... which means *I* am growing, too! I'm growing so fast, it's just bananas! (I bet you sang the Gwen Stefani song when you read that didn't you?)

A little bit of trivia for you... I have been practicing swallowing and digesting by gulping down the nutrient rich, hydrating amniotic fluid in my house for the last few weeks. But... this week my taste buds are fully functioning, meaning I can taste all of the food Mommy has been eating! People who study babies have decided that what I taste in Mommy's belly will be what I like when I am in the real world... so she better start eating lots of fruits and veggies so I am healthy now and later!
My growth has slowed down a bit, but my inner workings (like my nervous system, digestive system, skin, and other organs) are still developing. This week my nail beds have formed and my finger and toe nails will be growing so Mommy and I can paint them pretty colors one day!
Time Left: Month 5 (weeks 21-24), Month 6 (weeks 25-28), Month 7 (weeks 29-32), Month 8 (week 33-36), and Month 9 (weeks 37-delivery). Less than five months to go!!! In the future blogs you can be on the lookout for major developments, possibly nursery/baby furniture updates, baby shower pictures, all the things Mommy is going to make because she is getting anxious for me to be here (i.e., more tutu's, onsies, and bows), and pictures of Mommy's growing "Audrey Bump."
See you next week!
