Week 23

Hello everyone! Hope last week was great for you! As some of you know, Mommy and Daddy have been looking for a house for the past few months. They finally found a beautiful home and made an offer on it, which the sellers accepted. Mommy has been studying the Davidic Covenant at her bible study class where God promises David a house. Mommy thought it was so cool how her bible study and she and Daddy's prayers for God to provide the perfect house for us coincided. Mommy can't wait to move in and start getting my room ready and Jr. cannot wait to run around in his new yard and then go play at the old park he used to play at when he was just a little puppy! The inspection went well, no major issues, lets pray the appraisal goes well too! We can be all moved in by the middle of August!
Here are a few pictures (isn't it pretty?):

What's up with Mommy these days? Mom's back is killing her! Thanks, Daddy for massaging her back when she just can't take it anymore (you know the saying... "If Mama Ain't Happy, Ain't Nobody Happy!"... it's true!). Her back pain is eased when she feels me move around though because she forgets all about the pain when she feels me doing flips (she's still in awe that I'm really growing inside of her belly). We've been trying to get Daddy to feel me move, and he finally did Friday night! He can watch me move in Mommy's belly now, too! Mommy told Cici that Daddy felt me and Cici wanted to feel me move too! Saturday night, I was doing my nightly Yoga in Mommy's belly, so Mommy put Cici's hand on it and Cici felt me, too!

Mommy hasn't been sleeping through the night lately, making two to three trips to the potty each night (sorry, Mommy... I'll try to hang out somewhere other than the top of your bladder!). One thing she and I are both really happy about is that she isn't tossing and turning anymore at night since she took over the AC at night (sorry Daddy, Mommy needs her sleep!). Daddy complains that he is cold... Mommy comes back with "I have life growing inside of me, here's a blanket..." I think she wins!

The past few weeks Mommy has definitely gained weight (her back and belly can attest), we'll find out how much at the Dr appointment next week (she is hoping she has gotten past her pre-pregnancy weight by now since she lost a lot of it in the first trimester)! Mommy can still wear her jeans, but they have to be unbuttoned. She prefers to wear her maternity jeans and stretchy shorts, though. Her belly is getting bigger now, so her smaller T-shirts are getting tighter, but they haven't made it to storage boxes quite yet. We have a Dr appointment this week to check on my heart rate, growth, and the Dr will probably be checking out the position of the placenta to see if it has moved farther away from Mommy's cervix (we want this to happen!).

Ok. Love you Mommy, but enough about you! Let's move on to me! This week I am still about the size of a papaya, around one foot long and one pound in weight.

This week my precious little face is fully formed and my skin is getting a pinkish glow due to the blood vessels running underneath (I like to think it's because I am a Princess). However, I'm a little wrinkly because my skin has grown faster than my fat (not so cute or Princess-like). But don't worry! I'll be all cuddly soon enough once I start gaining more weight (and fat). This week I am also sprouting little nipples on my chest... I'm looking more and more human every day!

I am around one pound in weight, which sounds awesome, but it's just a glimpse at what's to come! My weight will be doubling in the next month! That's right. Starting the THIRD trimester in a few weeks, I will be a whopping *two* pounds (just a third to a fourth of my predicted birth weight).

I can still hear and I think I'm getting used to some sounds. Daddy's loud motorcycle doesn't startle me as much as it did a couple of weeks ago. I like listening to music and I love hearing Mommy and Daddy talk. I can sleep through Jr's barking now, too. He's such a good guard dog! Mommy says he's protecting us from the Booger Bears... Daddy says Jr *is* the Booger Bear! Mommy and Daddy don't think I'm going to be into power tools, because when I hear them, I kick and throw fits.

This week, if I so choose, I can suck my thumb on my own because my nervous and muscular system is developed and my overall sense of movement has been established! I'm getting closer and closer to being ready to make my big debut... get out the tutus and bows... I'll be here before you know it!

See you all next week!!
